More and more big corporations are going green....silently. You would think that with as popular as it is to be green nowadays these companies would be touting it mightily, but you barely hear about what some of the biggest companies in the world are doing for a greener future. Here are the companies I've found about:
  • Nike - After years of pressure from "sweat shops", Nike has quietly been doing some interesting things in an effort to regain
the trust of the world. Here is a CNN story about how Nike has turned it around. This article talks about Nike's recycled soccer jerseys which will be worn by the U.S. team this year in South Africa for the World Cup.
  • Google - I've been reading many articles lately about Google's interest in green technologies, including this one from Wired and this one from Bloomberg. Here is Google's official blog about their investment into Wind and Solar energy.
  • Microsoft - One of the first things that really put everything into perspective was this Ted talk Bill Gates gave on our need to innovate to 0 carbon emissions. He also talks about the next generation of nuclear power which he is investing heavily in.
Tell us about other corporate leaders that have visions of the future which include sustainable living! Post blogs, Start discussions, Share videos (copy paste from Youtube, CNN, and anywhere you can get embed code), Share links, or Share photos
