  • (5/20/2010) LA Times article - Talks about increasing pressure by Louisiana for the Army Corps to start a dredging project to help protect the
    shores. Dredging
according to Wikipedia is an excavation activity or operation
usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or
fresh water areas with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments
and disposing of them at a different location.

    commitment to cleaning up.
  • (5/14/2010) This blog has been showing up in the Adwords on this site. I followed it, and it's the American Petroleum Institute. I submitted
a comment asking whether BP was following their best
practices....we'll see if they allow the comment, and whether they
    reply.
  • Video of the oil leaking from underwater....talk about a major leak
  • CSM story - Senators grilling executives from the companies at the center of the Gulf oil spill tried to discern why fail-safe systems failed
and why the spill has gotten out of hand. They got few

eventually cost BP more than $3 billion.

relief well that should start tomorrow.
  • CNN article - BP Oil execs to brief Senate panels on spill

  • Good video showing the movement of the oil slick, as well as the different types of booms being used to soak up some of the oil.
  • Interview with the BP CEO. I thought he handled the questions well, and found the tone of the interview a little funny. It seemed like he was trying very hard to get a reaction.
