Where innovators discuss world events and issues like alternative energy

I've recently had a chance to reflect on my time spent with some special people. I didn't realize how special they were until recently, and would like to share what I've learned. The people I'm talking about are the Harcourts. I dated one of the Harcourts for a few years, and her father owns and operates a number of schools around the country. These schools are dedicated to helping kids with autism learn and develop.

Over the past few months I've been doing a lot of research and have found autism to be quite an interesting subject. There is actually an autism index which people use to measure your ability to understand body language (which is the ability autistic people lack).

Anyways, what I realized is that this family has decided to tackle a difficult social problem, with the goal of improving other people's lives. They are making money in the process, but to me, they have provided a great VALUE to society. Because of that, no matter what the economics of the world/country are, I think they will be able to make money (provided they're doing a good job). And regardless of whether they make money, they should feel good about the legacy they are leaving with the autistic community and on society.

I know some of the people on this network are already providing amazing value to society, and I commend you on the things you have done to improve the lives of others around the world! My hope is that this network will leave a lasting impression on society, even if it's only in our community. Let's strive to make the world a better place, because in the end that's the only thing that matters...that we left the world a better place than we started with.
